About the garden

Latest News:

7/5/16; no veg boxes this year, I've had the flu and I'm never going to catch up, it's just me on the garden so I'm afraid there is nothing I can do about it if I get ill and behind. All veg will be sold  on a roadside stall next to the cheese machine (also a new venture that replaces the farmers markets, my family are cheese makers remember) I will also be running a pick your own box on Thursday afternoons 3.30-6pm if you want more variety.

About the Garden:

I Started Knolton Market garden in 2010 on a half acre plot just outside Overton-on-Dee, near Wrexham, North wales. The idea was to grow tasty organic fruit and vegetables that I couldn't seem to source anywhere else locally. It is a tiny little business that I have set up as a part time job to supplement working for the family business (Knolton Farmhouse Cheese). We have been selling the cheese on local farmers markets for several years, but even on the farmers market circuit no-one seems to do proper organic local veg.
The business is seasonal (June-November) because everything is grown on my little garden by me. I don't buy anything in because then it would not be quite so local or sustainable (which is the whole point).
I can accommodate up to 20 weekly box customers during that period. Therefore if you are interested in giving your hard earned cash to a genuine organic local producer, helping the environment and giving Tesco and your conscience a rest for the summer- please get in touch.
